This high light exposure fuels the plant’s metabolism, ensuring the energy necessary for producing long, sturdy flower spikes and intensely saturated bloom colors.
Providing less than the recommended light duration compromises the plant’s structure and flowering potential. In overly shaded environments, snapdragons often exhibit etiolation, where stems become spindly, weak, and elongated as the plant stretches to find light. This lack of light also results in poor flower production, with sparse and smaller blooms.
