Why Standard Drug Screens Sometimes Miss It
Many workplace and clinical drug panels use an immunoassay designed to detect natural opiates like morphine and codeine. Hydrocodone is a semi-synthetic opioid, and its chemical structure differs just enough that it can slip past these standard screens.
