The simplest approach requires nothing but stillness: sit comfortably, close your eyes, and gently direct your internal gaze upward and inward toward the point between your eyebrows. Don’t strain or cross your eyes. The movement is subtle, more like resting your attention there than forcing your eyeballs into position.

Many practitioners report a tingling, buzzing, or light pressure sensation at this point during meditation. This is commonly described as a low-grade vibration, sometimes compared to a phone set on silent buzzing against bone. From a conventional standpoint, focusing attention on any body part tends to increase your awareness of normal sensory activity there, including blood flow, muscle micro-tension, and nerve signals that you’d normally filter out. The frontalis muscle across your forehead and the corrugator muscles between your brows are both highly responsive to mental focus and emotional states, which may explain some of the physical sensations.
