Your body already regulates its blood pH within a tight range of 7.35 to 7.45, and no food or supplement will dramatically shift that number. But the effort your body makes to maintain that balance matters. A diet heavy in processed foods, meat, and grains forces your kidneys and bones to work harder to neutralize excess acid, and over time this low-grade strain is linked to insulin resistance, reduced bone density, lower muscle mass, and chronic kidney problems.
