Elevated TSH in women signals that the thyroid gland isn’t producing enough hormone, prompting the pituitary gland to release more TSH to compensate. Bringing TSH down means getting the thyroid to work more effectively, either through medication, nutritional support, or removing factors that interfere with thyroid function. The right approach depends on how high your TSH is and what’s driving it up.

What Your TSH Number Actually Means
