Shortness of breath, back or jaw pain, pain in the upper abdomen, and extreme fatigue are all common presentations. The advice to sleep well, manage stress, and stay hydrated sounds generic, but these basics interact with women’s biology in specific ways. Sleep deprivation worsens hormonal imbalances and amplifies PMS symptoms. Chronic stress raises cortisol, which over time can disrupt your menstrual cycle, weaken your immune system, and accelerate bone loss. Even mild, persistent dehydration affects skin elasticity, energy levels, and cognitive performance.
