The difference is that a medium potato weighs about 173 grams, so a whole potato delivers more total calories than a single ear of corn.
Beyond the basics, corn supplies B vitamins, magnesium, and potassium. It also contains meaningful amounts of two carotenoid pigments, lutein and zeaxanthin, that play a specific role in eye health.
