If you’re reaching for Tylenol PM purely for sleep and don’t have any pain, you’re exposing your liver to a drug you don’t even need.
The Sedative Effect Fades Quickly
Diphenhydramine works by blocking a chemical messenger in the brain that promotes wakefulness. The drowsiness it produces feels reliable at first, but your body adjusts.
