For men, its primary role is shifting how the body processes estrogen, pushing it toward metabolites that are less potent and easier to eliminate. This matters because estrogen balance plays a larger role in male health than most people realize, influencing everything from body fat distribution to prostate cell growth.
How DIM Affects Estrogen in Men
Men produce estrogen naturally. The enzyme aromatase converts a portion of testosterone into estradiol, a form of estrogen.
