What Happens to Your Body When You Quit Smoking?

The First 48 Hours

This comes from the combined effect of better oxygen delivery (no more carbon monoxide), regenerating cilia, and reduced airway inflammation.

Circulation improves gradually as blood vessels regain their ability to dilate properly. Your hands and feet may feel warmer. Wounds heal faster.
