This is the same pathway your body uses during prolonged fasting or very low-carb eating, but exogenous BHB lets you tap into it without changing your diet. Blood ketone levels can rise within minutes of taking a ketone supplement, with dose-dependent effects observed across different time windows, particularly between 30 and 60 minutes and again beyond 120 minutes after ingestion.
