What Makes Application Difficult

Translating knowledge into practice isn’t automatic, and the barriers are well-documented. A systematic review of research on this topic found that the biggest obstacles are individual-level issues: people lacking the skills to find, organize, evaluate, and use available research. It’s not that the knowledge doesn’t exist. It’s that the people who need it can’t access it effectively or don’t know how to apply it in their specific context.

Organizational barriers play a smaller but real role.
