Habits That Protect Your Sleep Window
Picking the right bedtime only works if your body is actually ready to sleep when you get there. A few consistent habits make the biggest difference.
Light exposure is the strongest lever you have. Bright light in the morning, ideally natural sunlight within an hour of waking, anchors your circadian clock and helps melatonin arrive on schedule that evening. Conversely, bright screens in the last hour before bed actively delay melatonin release. Dimming lights and switching devices to warm-toned settings in the evening helps preserve the signal your brain needs.
